Are You Really Okay?

    If you are a Conservative & a Republican are you okay with the recent behavior of your party?...

Are you okay with the continuing spreading of lies & conspiracy theories?...

Are you okay with the Senate minority leader now reversing his stance on Trump & the Capital insurrection?...

Are you okay with that same leader expressing that there will be no cooperation with any of the Democrats to get things done?...

Are you okay with the House minority leader who also reversed his initial remarks about that same ex- President & the riot & for whom he now chooses to enable?...

Are you okay that the same leader was trumpeting his fellow House members to oust Liz Cheney from her leadership post & was successful?...

Are you okay that as of May 14, only 95 out of the 211 House Republicans have been vaccinated?...

Are you okay that we may not get a bipartisan committee to investigate that horrific attempt at taking down our government on January 6?...

Are you okay that this once proud political Party has lowered it's values & bowed down to Trumpism to the detriment of all that they once held sacred?...

Are you okay that our faith in our election process will now forever be suspect because of one man & his followers who would not stop their 'Big Lie'?...

Are you okay that some of our once revered religious leaders & local Pastors have chosen to follow that same man instead of following Jesus & His teachings?...

Are you okay that we now have families & life long friends that have been torn apart because of this period of utter divisiveness from the ex-President & his Party?...

Are you okay that for one year that same man mocked mask wearers, lied about the seriousness of the virus & used daily public briefings as a platform to pump up his ego & not to share facts based on science?...

Are you okay that he was in love with a Korean dictator & cowered down to the Russian one?...

Are you okay that the total of dead Americans reached 402,269 on the ex-Presidents last day in office?...

Are you okay that he forcibly had peaceful protesters removed from Lafayette Park in DC, who were only there to honor George Floyd & announce that 'Black Lives Matter', so he could hold a photo opp while holding a Bible who's teachings fully contradict his own?...

Are you okay that he allowed white supremacists to continue with their domestic terror because he gave them a wink & a nod & not condemnation?...

Are you okay that Asian Americans are also being terrorized by those same people & other hate groups because that same ex- President riled up those same groups?...

Are you okay that we claim to be the 'home of the free' but yet so many have shown a lack of courage in choosing to assure that all enjoy that freedom & denounce all those who try to steal it from others?...

Are you okay that police are supported by the same folks that who now have turned their backs on the Capital police?...

Are you okay that we have forgotten that only the next election is where we make change & not the spewing of false claims or stating the election was rigged even after all our votes were counted?...

Are you okay with half of America not willing to be civil to other half because after all that's how are ex-President began his reign on his first day in office...

Are you okay that love has been replaced by hate, patriotism for unrest & integrity for shallowness?...

Are you really okay or have you now become a numb & unfettered by it all?...

Are you okay with that same ex - President using the dangerous rally cry of 'fake news', but the only outlet he seemed to adore & trust was Fox News?...

Are you okay that we had to explain to our children & grandchildren that this man & his constant bullying, foul language & continual lying was not acceptable on any level, especially from the President of the United States?...

One last thought would you be really be okay if the Democratic Party & its leaders behaved this way these past 4 years?...I know I would not!...Thanks & keep praying that we can all begin to care for each other again...

 I previously posted this on Facebook &  I am re-posting it here on my blog so it will forever be part of my story.   If you are okay with a Supreme Court that has no public policy for conduct or oversight, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with our government deciding what's best for a women's body, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with all these mass shootings & the massacring our children, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with more guns & less legislation on limiting access to them, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with the continuing hate being used against the LBGTQ community, Asians, people of Color, people with Disabilities, Drag Queens & Disney, then keep voting for Republicans. There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

 Well it is almost vacation time!  Never thought I would be closing the Cafe for a week of r&r, but the timing is right.  With the loss of my Mom, the re occurrence of my spinal stenosis which brings on a pain that is sometimes unbearable, the fact that Ella Mae is on Spring Break from her duties @ SU & finally I'm pooped!  If you have followed me on this blog than you know I have 'put it out there' that running a small business & most notably a food business, can take a lot out of you.  The fact that I open & close 5 days a week & do all the cooking & dare I say it I am almost 64!  That last reason would be enough for most, but I love what I do even when 'stuff' comes @ me.  Some times these factors are self inflicted but really most are just events that life can bring to any one of us.  So the Cafe will be closed from Monday March 11 & reopen on Monday March 18.  EM & I are driving down to spend time with...
