Yes It's 'Fair' To Say....

   Well the NYS Fair starts in a week & 1/2!...Now doesn't that really put things into perspective...
That event has always meant the unofficial end to Summer...My favorite season is Fall so I have that to look forward to, plus the beginning of the school semester which will make for a busy but fun time...
   The athletes have returned & it's nice to see some new 'kids' for sure, but also more names to try to put with their faces.....Some are cross country runners & I joked that I can run from the dining hall food line & back without even stopping to catch my breath!...The only cross country this old guy can do is in a vehicle with cruise control...Haha....
   A wedding reception was held here in the dining hall on Saturday...The Bride & Mother of the Bride are employed @ Caz...The event went on without a hitch thanks to some super planning & a staff that really came together as a team...I was the first one out @ 9:45 as it is now known that I am the eldest member of the entire dining staff....Age does have some perks & I have to admit I was tired out...When I came to work this morning (Monday) you would never have believed that anything had taken place here as everything was put back in place....The wedding was the final event held until next Spring as now we go into full College mode...
   I have decided that it really is time for me to move on from writing this blog, so while my adventure will surely continue it will now become new memories for me as the years pass...

 I previously posted this on Facebook &  I am re-posting it here on my blog so it will forever be part of my story.   If you are okay with a Supreme Court that has no public policy for conduct or oversight, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with our government deciding what's best for a women's body, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with all these mass shootings & the massacring our children, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with more guns & less legislation on limiting access to them, then keep voting for Republicans. There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

 Well it is almost vacation time!  Never thought I would be closing the Cafe for a week of r&r, but the timing is right.  With the loss of my Mom, the re occurrence of my spinal stenosis which brings on a pain that is sometimes unbearable, the fact that Ella Mae is on Spring Break from her duties @ SU & finally I'm pooped!  If you have followed me on this blog than you know I have 'put it out there' that running a small business & most notably a food business, can take a lot out of you.  The fact that I open & close 5 days a week & do all the cooking & dare I say it I am almost 64!  That last reason would be enough for most, but I love what I do even when 'stuff' comes @ me.  Some times these factors are self inflicted but really most are just events that life can bring to any one of us.  So the Cafe will be closed from Monday March 11 & reopen on Monday March 18.  EM & I are driving down to spend time with...
