Summertime & The Living Is Easy......

Well we are 1/2 way thru July & the journey continues.  It has been a nice Summer except for the couple of torrential rain storms & of course the near miss of a tornado!   Ella Mae has been busy trying to get ATO (the Fraternity) cleaned up & ready to roll for the fall semester.  We have painted the kitchen & a new ceramic tile floor is in!  Our oldest Grandchildren CJ & Daniele have also helped with cleaning & painting.  We both start back on the 'Hill' on August 18.  EM as the House Manager & I will now be the House Cook.  This will give EM a little more down time while still keeping the 'House' running smoothly.  This also frees her up from the physical needs of cooking & all the 'stuff' that comes along with it.  I consider this such a blessing that we can continue to work along side each other & still contribute our small part for the 'Guys'.  This will also be easier on my back & legs as the kitchen is small as to keep moving large distances to a minimum.  I already have my first weeks menu planned!
I am still doing driver trades & it has been a fun job.  EM & I are about to apply for a mortgage!  Yes @ 65, let's do the math, 30 years brings us to.....Hey the 'American Dream' still lives.  This will be our 4th house & 12th move!  I tell everyone to always use pencil if you record our address!
We should know this afternoon if it's a go so I'll be back with the results.....
Yes, we have a house!  It is a Bridgeport address but still in Onondaga county.  Now we are only 2 miles from all the Grandkids!
On August 2 we will go up to Carthage where EM's was born.  A memorial service is being held for her brother Lynn (Zolt) who died in January @ his home in Cary, NC.  Still hard to believe he is gone.  He was only 67.  He was a great Brother to EM & Brother-in-Law to me.  We are only promised today & how this brings that home to me.
I will take a mini break from my postings until I am cooking @ ATO & EM & I have moved into
our new & yes last Home!.....
Thanks for allowing me to share and may God bless us all....
