"On The Road Again"...







   Well here goes a new phase in the journey since saying goodbye to the Cafe.   I delivered a 2014 Chrysler convertible to Palm Garden Florida and drove back a 2011 of the same make & model.  I left on a Tuesday morning & returned the following Sunday morning!  It was fun & different from what I had been used to these past 3 years.  I got to stop & spend some time with my Brother Pat & Sister-in-Law as they live near Orlando.   Kevin, who is the Manager @ Fayetteville Chrysler~Jeep 'hooked me up'.   He is a super friend & I am so thankful for this job.   It is on a when needed basis but at least it is allowing me to earn some money.  These past weeks I have been to Hudson, Elmira, Geneva, Rochester, Croton on the Hudson, Liberty & Sayre Pa!  EM comes along whenever possible, so how cool is that.
     In mid August I am going to take Ella Mae's place @ ATO & cook for the 'boys'!  She will stay on as the house manager & yes become my Boss!  Well now she can get back at me for those many years when the roles were reversed.   This will give her a chance to slow up a little & be semi-retired.  This 'gal' as anyone who knows her understands is one hard worker, there is no not giving it 100% for her.  
   EM & I have been back to the Cafe a couple of times to see Matt & Torrie & eat some great food!   I hope all those who came in to Cosmo's will continue to do business with Balamont's.
He is a small business who needs our continued support.

If you are okay with our government deciding what's best for a women's body, then keep voting for Republicans. There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

 Well it is almost vacation time!  Never thought I would be closing the Cafe for a week of r&r, but the timing is right.  With the loss of my Mom, the re occurrence of my spinal stenosis which brings on a pain that is sometimes unbearable, the fact that Ella Mae is on Spring Break from her duties @ SU & finally I'm pooped!  If you have followed me on this blog than you know I have 'put it out there' that running a small business & most notably a food business, can take a lot out of you.  The fact that I open & close 5 days a week & do all the cooking & dare I say it I am almost 64!  That last reason would be enough for most, but I love what I do even when 'stuff' comes @ me.  Some times these factors are self inflicted but really most are just events that life can bring to any one of us.  So the Cafe will be closed from Monday March 11 & reopen on Monday March 18.  EM & I are driving down to spend time with...
