Now It's 'Balamont's Cafe & Catering'!

 Philippians 3:12-14
Pressing Toward the Goal
“Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

Well a new journey begins on Thursday May 1!  The Cafe has a new owner, Matt Balamont!  Matt is a certified chef who I believe will take this place to the next level.  It's no secret to anyone who follows this blog or is a regular visitor of the Cafe that my spinal stenosis has left me not standing so upright @ times.  While I am seeking help it is something that will most likely always hinder my mobility, so I need to slow down just a tad.  Also hard to even say, I will be 65 in June & yes even eligible for Medicare.  Also as some of you know, operating a business can be very stressful for which also adds to my back spasms &v thus more pain.  I love cooking, serving good food & doing my own thing so most of my life I have worked for myself.  The good is the independence is great, the bad is that there is no money for retirement unless you put some there, I didn't!  So I will have to keep working somewhere, but this time not as an entrepreneur & somewhere with less stress to my mind, back & legs.   I am so thankful to God for giving me a path to follow.  Did I move off it at times, you bet, but He always set me straight again.  I need to always remember that everything we have is from Him.  His grace is enough, for sure!
Thanks to all those who worked with me & to all my friends & family who supported me with your business & prayers.
Shouts out to just a few:  Ella Mae who has stuck with me through this & every adventure, words will never be enough to convey my love for her.  Staff:  Mark, Diane & Jason who were with me in the beginning.  Also Kyle, Trevor, Barbara, Stan, Kiki, Julie, Don, Tina, Marilyn, Tammy, Nick, & Torrie (who is staying on & has an amazing smile & a genuine concern for all the customers!), To
Cj & Daniele (who helped their Grandpa whenever he asked for help).  Lindsay (who made amazing cupcakes when we first opened & who like her Mom has always been on my side, no matter what!)   Customers & Friends in no particular order & all equally cherished:  Pastor Ken & Michele (who have supported me from the day we all met & whom I would faithfully ( yes, pun intended) see each Friday morning),  Roy (who is a friend indeed, he has helped me out numerous times, most recently washing dishes & clearing tables when I was alone)   Doug (who always stopped in when he was in town, he is a gentle soul for sure with a soft voice filled with much wisdom), The EMS crew (that said we had the best breakfast in town)  Pete (who has an office in the building & has become a good friend & the most loyal of all my customers, I will miss seeing him enjoy our soup of the day!)  Tom (who although we have drifted apart, always gave me a catering gig for his Adventure Center events)  Some A&E folks, Reggie, Frank, Mike, Sandy, Andy, Deb, Vicky, Todd, Quan, Ron, LaToya,Cherl & so many more that I am sorry I can't recall all the names)  The regulars from some of the nearby businesses (Chris, Jim, Kevin, Lance, Dave, Louis, Brian, Virginia, Parminder, George, Ken, Paul & Trisha, Jason, Mark, Andro, Joe, Sean & the crew from Lamar Outdoor Advertising who were almost always my first Friday morning call for a takeout order,  Names I am sure I am omitting from places like Cryomech, Tartaglia, JK Electric, OnSite, Webb, Columbia College & Boces, Kip from 5Star,  Molloy Holding Tenants, Paul, Tomas, Malcolm, Ron x 2, Manny & Stef & there crew, James, Mary, Micky, Rich, Rick & Terry, Courtney, Monica, April,  The crew from Sharello who are such awesome young people,  John, Joe, Dick, Tony, Dora, JackieGlenda & Bill (good & faithful friends from Canostota),  Paul, Tom P., Gary & Benny & Family, Sharon & Shirley & Don, Vince (a new loyal customer).   The guys & gals from the National Guard & Base some names I can rememember, Sgt. Presley, Sgt. Mahoney, Sgt. Reynolds, John, Simon, Rich, Pat, Christina, The Chief, Lewis, Michael, Lopez, Lorenzo & all those who have served & let us serve them.  Michael (my 'Buddy' & one of my greatest cheerleaders), Mayadah, Bill (whom I miss so much) & Rosemarie.   All my Family Members who made there way here All the present & former Church Family folks who have stopped in.  Please if I left your name out it was only due to my memory lapse & not that you were not appreciated!
Thanks for all the prayers & for being a part of My Journey & now it's time for the next adventure.....
