"You Never Know When or Who is Coming Through That Door"

     I changed up the tag line from the show 'The Pawn Stars' to fit the Cafe.  We really don't know when someone is going to stop in, when, & what they will order!  It can make for some interesting times in this business.  You have to always be prepared for anything & have everything prepped up to boot!  It kind of reminds me of my Army days when our line was "Hurry Up & Wait!
     Thanks to all who have come through our doors.  We are so grateful for your choosing to do business with us.  I hope we have served you well.  My promise is to always be ready & eager to prepare a good meal @ a reasonable cost for you & yours.  As always thanks for the prayers & for supporting this small business....

 I previously posted this on Facebook &  I am re-posting it here on my blog so it will forever be part of my story.   If you are okay with a Supreme Court that has no public policy for conduct or oversight, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with our government deciding what's best for a women's body, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with all these mass shootings & the massacring our children, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with more guns & less legislation on limiting access to them, then keep voting for Republicans. There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

 Well it is almost vacation time!  Never thought I would be closing the Cafe for a week of r&r, but the timing is right.  With the loss of my Mom, the re occurrence of my spinal stenosis which brings on a pain that is sometimes unbearable, the fact that Ella Mae is on Spring Break from her duties @ SU & finally I'm pooped!  If you have followed me on this blog than you know I have 'put it out there' that running a small business & most notably a food business, can take a lot out of you.  The fact that I open & close 5 days a week & do all the cooking & dare I say it I am almost 64!  That last reason would be enough for most, but I love what I do even when 'stuff' comes @ me.  Some times these factors are self inflicted but really most are just events that life can bring to any one of us.  So the Cafe will be closed from Monday March 11 & reopen on Monday March 18.  EM & I are driving down to spend time with...
