Today Is the Day He Has Made So Be Glad In it......

Today is Sunday & a good day to reflect on the past week @ the Cafe.....It was our 2nd week of our anniversary drawing special & 'folks' are getting their names in for a chance @ a $50. or $100. gift card!.....I found out that Trevor will be leaving us & Friday will be his last day......He is going to go to ITT & his day classes won't allow for his working here....He has been with us since January & I will miss his sense of humor & smile.....Believe me as anyone will tell you, you need that to work with me!.....Trevor never took it personal & for that I am thankful & very appreciative of his being able to separate our friendship & business relationships.....As things happen today Stan, Trevor, CJ & myself all went out for a lunch together.....This was planned weeks ago before I knew of Trevor's departure, so it was a nice way to say thanks & wish him well.....I am hoping that we can survive these last few months of summer by holding our own in sales.......This Fall we will once again offer hardier lunch specials & 'stick to your ribs' meal selections.....Meatloaf....Pigs in the Blanket....Spaghetti Pie & Pot Roast to just name a few......I believe the Cafe is now finally getting its own identity & will now begin making its mark on the local area.....
We were fortunate enough to have been selected to provide lunch for a local event @ my Church yesterday & it was well received....Ella Mae & I made 91 bagged lunches consisting of local products....I think this will open up some doors for other organizations that want to offer a similar meal for their event.....




 This past week we also were offered an opportunity to provide 450 boxed lunches for the Military in November!.....How great is that.....A chance to serve those that serve!....
I am so thankful for all your support & prayers......Thank for allowing me to share.......I pledge once again to always remember to give God all the praise, honor & glory.......

 I previously posted this on Facebook &  I am re-posting it here on my blog so it will forever be part of my story.   If you are okay with a Supreme Court that has no public policy for conduct or oversight, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with our government deciding what's best for a women's body, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with all these mass shootings & the massacring our children, then keep voting for Republicans. There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

 Well it is almost vacation time!  Never thought I would be closing the Cafe for a week of r&r, but the timing is right.  With the loss of my Mom, the re occurrence of my spinal stenosis which brings on a pain that is sometimes unbearable, the fact that Ella Mae is on Spring Break from her duties @ SU & finally I'm pooped!  If you have followed me on this blog than you know I have 'put it out there' that running a small business & most notably a food business, can take a lot out of you.  The fact that I open & close 5 days a week & do all the cooking & dare I say it I am almost 64!  That last reason would be enough for most, but I love what I do even when 'stuff' comes @ me.  Some times these factors are self inflicted but really most are just events that life can bring to any one of us.  So the Cafe will be closed from Monday March 11 & reopen on Monday March 18.  EM & I are driving down to spend time with...
