"Keep On Seeking & You Will Find....

Well another week is coming to an end @ the Cafe....It has been a very quiet one, I believe that it is due to the very extreme heat & also it's vacation time in CNY....We can only hang on & hope that our sales will increase as the summer fades to fall.....The good news is that we are approaching our one year anniversary!.....I'll post our plan here for the event we have planned....
I am very proud of this milestone as this journey has been strewn with lots of obstacles....No, I am not looking for any pity, I am just telling it like it is......When I decided to run this business I came in with eyes wide open & knew it was going to be a tough go.....The location, a building only 50% occupied & in need of some updating, an area that is almost 100% industrial which leaves little room for drive by or walk in customers, are only a few of the road blocks I knew we would encounter......Now add in the fact it takes a long time to build trust & get 'folks' to change their habits & give a new 'guy' a try & you see just some of the hurdles we have & are facing.......More good news is that I don't give up easily & I am committed to making this Cafe succeed!.....I really do believe that the best is yet to come......I can only ask God to give me the tools needed to keep the dream alive....This verse comes to mind:
So I will keep the faith & keep asking & knocking......God "Will make a way where there is no way"
are words to a song we have sung in church & words that I truly believe!.....

 I previously posted this on Facebook &  I am re-posting it here on my blog so it will forever be part of my story.   If you are okay with a Supreme Court that has no public policy for conduct or oversight, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with our government deciding what's best for a women's body, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with all these mass shootings & the massacring our children, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with more guns & less legislation on limiting access to them, then keep voting for Republicans. There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

 Well it is almost vacation time!  Never thought I would be closing the Cafe for a week of r&r, but the timing is right.  With the loss of my Mom, the re occurrence of my spinal stenosis which brings on a pain that is sometimes unbearable, the fact that Ella Mae is on Spring Break from her duties @ SU & finally I'm pooped!  If you have followed me on this blog than you know I have 'put it out there' that running a small business & most notably a food business, can take a lot out of you.  The fact that I open & close 5 days a week & do all the cooking & dare I say it I am almost 64!  That last reason would be enough for most, but I love what I do even when 'stuff' comes @ me.  Some times these factors are self inflicted but really most are just events that life can bring to any one of us.  So the Cafe will be closed from Monday March 11 & reopen on Monday March 18.  EM & I are driving down to spend time with...
