Another Day Older & Deeper In Debt...lol....

Well today is my birthday aka born 63 years ago.....I am older but not sure any wiser!.....I sometimes just operate on enthusiasm, adrenaline & a wing & a prayer!.....The prayer part is the most important & the most useful for sure I have discovered of late.....The Cafe had a normal sales day today for which I am very thankful, however I am always hoping we can achieve more & I know we can......Our lunch box special is becoming very popular: 1/2 Deli Sandwich - Chips - Beverage & Choc Chip Cookie all boxed up to travel for $5.95!......New staff member tomorrow, Julie, she will work Tuesdays & Thursdays 10:30 - 1:30 & will be a great addition.....Stan is on all day everyday & Trevor is here from 9 - 1:30 on Mon - Wed & Friday......I am very blessed to have this 'crew'......Summer arrives this week & our 1 year anniversary is right behind!.....Thanks for allowing me to share & for your support & especially for the prayers.....

I've sat back for over these past four years & kept silent as the daily Facebook political posts supporting our now ex-President became even more alarming...Now it's my turn to make my voice known...I can not sit idle any longer...This posting is lengthily & it's my space to write down my thoughts so be fore warned... Well here it is March 25, 2021 & 563,530 fellow Americans are gone because of the pandemic...We had an inept President & administration for whom facts just didn't matter...The most important duty of a President is to protect us all from foreign & domestic harm & he failed miserably...He has still exhibited no empathy or apology...It still continues to be everyone else's fault..What an inept disgrace of a leader & American... It's amazing to me that he continues to be unfazed & that his cult members still support him...The lies & conspiracy theories continue & we are more divided &...

If you are okay with a Supreme Court that has no public policy for conduct or oversight, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with our government deciding what's best for a women's body, then keep voting for Republicans. There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

Well it is almost vacation time! Never thought I would be closing the Cafe for a week of r&r, but the timing is right. With the loss of my Mom, the re occurrence of my spinal stenosis which brings on a pain that is sometimes unbearable, the fact that Ella Mae is on Spring Break from her duties @ SU & finally I'm pooped! If you have followed me on this blog than you know I have 'put it out there' that running a small business & most notably a food business, can take a lot out of you. The fact that I open & close 5 days a week & do all the cooking & dare I say it I am almost 64! That last reason would be enough for most, but I love what I do even when 'stuff' comes @ me. Some times these factors are self inflicted but really most are just events that life can bring to any one of us. So the Cafe will be closed from Monday March 11 & reopen on Monday March 18.
