Thanks to the 'Crew"......


It's only Thursday but I feel the need to thank everyone who has stopped in this week already.....Sam, Stacy & Ashlyn (Stacy's beautiful daughter).....Sam & Stacy worked with me in the 'Bagel Station' how great it was to see them and for them to take time out to visit....Sam did a little bit of everything there, but he was mainly in charge of our many deliveries....Thus I always fondly refer to him as 'Sam Sam the Delivery Man'!.....He was a great front man for us and really loved 'talking us up'......Another old friend, Mike, (aka Buda) also came in today and I got to remembering my 'fruit truck' days....Seeing these folks only made me feel so privileged to have worked @ those two endeavors....New names to try to remember Nate, Anthony Nick & Gabrielle......Also lots of new faces and satisfied customers.....I really believe that we have begun to 'turn the corner'......I want to make this place a success that is built upon providing good food, good service, fair prices and a 'feel good' place to enjoy a meal.....Stan has stepped up and can cook everything on our menu & believe me he takes pride in his work......This has allowed me to get off my feet due to this continuing back problem......This also frees me up to do some marketing and gets me out to meet & greet our customers and friends......Tomorrow is Friday and we offer up our fish sandwich, fries & coleslaw which is really starting to catch on.....With Lent starting next week that should push sales up even more......Thanks to all for your prayers and continuing support and thanks for allowing me to share......

 I previously posted this on Facebook &  I am re-posting it here on my blog so it will forever be part of my story.   If you are okay with a Supreme Court that has no public policy for conduct or oversight, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with our government deciding what's best for a women's body, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with all these mass shootings & the massacring our children, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with more guns & less legislation on limiting access to them, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with the continuing hate being used against the LBGTQ community, Asians, people of Color, people with Disabilities, Drag Queens & Disney, then keep voting for Republicans. There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

 Well it is almost vacation time!  Never thought I would be closing the Cafe for a week of r&r, but the timing is right.  With the loss of my Mom, the re occurrence of my spinal stenosis which brings on a pain that is sometimes unbearable, the fact that Ella Mae is on Spring Break from her duties @ SU & finally I'm pooped!  If you have followed me on this blog than you know I have 'put it out there' that running a small business & most notably a food business, can take a lot out of you.  The fact that I open & close 5 days a week & do all the cooking & dare I say it I am almost 64!  That last reason would be enough for most, but I love what I do even when 'stuff' comes @ me.  Some times these factors are self inflicted but really most are just events that life can bring to any one of us.  So the Cafe will be closed from Monday March 11 & reopen on Monday March 18.  EM & I are driving down to spend time with...
