Treats Are Better....

Well it's almost Halloween & we are hoping the rest of the year provides more 'treats' than 'tricks'!....
This has been an interesting run here @ the Cafe....Every time we think we are gaining we seem to fall
back again....It is very discouraging @ times, but I do have faith that this 'place' will eventually sustain it self....We are building a brand and a client base, but we can not seem to get the consistency of weekly sales that we need.....Please don't get me wrong with this all said, it only makes the challenges a little harder and hopefully the rewards will be even greater.....I continually pray that God will bring us through
these rough first months and that we will become a success.....It will always be to His glory and His will be done no matter the outcome.....This week we will offer an Italian bread pepperoni pizza as a special which will include chicken wings & a beverage!.....Our soups are starting to 'catch on' as the weather cools down some....I love soup @ any time of the year and I love making them just as much!.....We still have 2 more Saturday meetings of the Men's Ministry from Liverpool Community Church and all Men
are welcome......Thanks for allowing me to share and thanks for your prayers and support.....

 I previously posted this on Facebook &  I am re-posting it here on my blog so it will forever be part of my story.   If you are okay with a Supreme Court that has no public policy for conduct or oversight, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with our government deciding what's best for a women's body, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with all these mass shootings & the massacring our children, then keep voting for Republicans. If you are okay with more guns & less legislation on limiting access to them, then keep voting for Republicans. There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

 Well it is almost vacation time!  Never thought I would be closing the Cafe for a week of r&r, but the timing is right.  With the loss of my Mom, the re occurrence of my spinal stenosis which brings on a pain that is sometimes unbearable, the fact that Ella Mae is on Spring Break from her duties @ SU & finally I'm pooped!  If you have followed me on this blog than you know I have 'put it out there' that running a small business & most notably a food business, can take a lot out of you.  The fact that I open & close 5 days a week & do all the cooking & dare I say it I am almost 64!  That last reason would be enough for most, but I love what I do even when 'stuff' comes @ me.  Some times these factors are self inflicted but really most are just events that life can bring to any one of us.  So the Cafe will be closed from Monday March 11 & reopen on Monday March 18.  EM & I are driving down to spend time with...
