Stars & Stripes

These are pics of my Dad, Brothers, Pat & Jimmy & myself & no we are not losers...We served because it was our duty & belief that America was the most decent country on earth.. Perfect, of course not, just look at the racial & social injustice that still exists...We served with men & women of all political affiliations & we chose to respect one another for we were all on the same side, something solely lacking today...It is now the duty of our President & all his supporters to honor theirs...Just ranting that this was a rigged election doesn't make it so & it is a direct assault on what I believe our military served & even died for...I am also tired of some folks believing that God only favors one side or the other...In my meager & ongoing study God loves us all & has bestowed His grace on all...Yes, I am Christian & a Liberal...Horrors, I know, many of you are losing your minds as how can that be...Well Je

Yes I am a Liberal & a Christian...Imagine That!...

This is a post that I came up across, this Pastor said everything I wanted to & with much more authority & wisdom than I...This was written in early 2018 & it's now almost 2021 with the election just 41 days away...I pray that folks will look at the totality of these last, lost years & will vote for a kinder & gentler America, one that truly understands Jesus's call to Love all...   White Evangelicals, This is Why People Are Through With You January 24, 2018 / John Pavlovitz     Dear White Evangelicals, I need to tell you something: People have had it with you. They’re done. They want nothing to do with you any longer, and here’s why: They see your hypocrisy, your inconsistency, your incredibly selective mercy, and your thinly veiled supremacy. For eight years they watched you relentlessly demonize a black President; a man faithfully married for 26 years; a doting father and husband without a hint of moral scandal or the slightest whiff of infidelity. Fifty Years....

50 years ago today @ 12 noon, two 'kids' were married in the hometown of Ella Mae Selos, Carthage, NY in Saint James Church with reception to follow @ the Rod & Gun Club… We met for the first time on a blind date arranged by my friend & eventual best man, Dick.. I picked her up @ her apartment that she shared with 2 other girls on the west side of Syracuse...We went to a local pub, the Poor House West where the pitchers of beer flowed & peanuts shells crunched under your chair whenever you adjusted yourself or tried but failed to be inconspicuous while crossing the floor for that much needed restroom stop, oh did I mention the beer flowed...At that time I was somewhat of an introvert & struggled with keeping the conversation flowing…After our time together ended I drove her back to her apartment...I really liked her and called her a day later & asked for another date...In true EM fashion she was never one to sugar coat anything for effect, she says she h

What If?

What if ... We had a leader at the top who actually cared about the American people for whom he has sworn an oath to to serve & protect?              What if ... We had police officers in every city & town who actually weren't racist & even called out the ones who were...               What if ... All men treated women with respect & not as sexual conquests...              What if... All men & women were created equal & not treated as second class citizens because of race, religion, sexuality, social class or title...               What if... Politicians actually worked to make our lives better & served us instead of their own agenda &/or party...               What if... You didn't stand for the national anthem & were not vilified as being un-American but instead as a peaceful protester who's rights to do so are protected under our constitution...               What if... Religious leaders would speak up & call out a

The 'Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow'...

Wow a lot has happened since my last post...Let me just say I am happy to be sharing my thoughts & story again & for full disclosure, I now sure have the time...    I am still a rideshare driver for Lyft & Uber...I also still do dealer trades for Romano Chrysler Jeep...I have also delivered auto parts for a new local start-up, Tonquin...I tried Postmates & Uber Eats which are food delivery companies...This week I signed up for Instacart, but have not tried my first delivery yet because of the Coronavirus...    So on March 13, yes a Friday, while on my way to pick up a rider, I was rear ended...My vehicle was driven off the roadway from the force of the impact...The good news was that while I was transported to the ER, my x-rays showed that I was only very bruised...My vehicle was totaled & since I still had a balance on the loan, I decided that for the next few months we would now be a one car family...The other vehicle is up & ready & rideshare authori
